According to a report from DDI, a global leadership company, half of emerging leaders say they struggle to manage workplace conflict, and only 12% of emerging leaders demonstrate high proficiency handling conflict at work (HR Dive).

This two-hour intensive session focuses on navigating moments of tension and conflict as they arise in professional settings. Participants will learn practical, real-time strategies for de-escalating situations, intervening effectively, and rebuilding trust after moments of rupture.

Through hands-on practice and scenario work, we’ll develop a personalized toolkit for addressing workplace tensions while maintaining cultural awareness and psychological safety.

In this session, you will:

  • Define conflict and its role in developing workplace culture

  • Assess our organization or community’s current approach to conflict

  • How to create a safety plan

  • Effective communication techniques

  • Understand the scope and scale of conflict

  • Practice finding points of agreement or understanding
